The Ushering Department is that department that preoccupies itself with making congregants comfortable in church.
They usually gather to set up the auditorium for service, welcome patrons as they arrive for service, seat them comfortably in a way that will make room for easy access and flow, and many more roles to ensure the success of every service.
Departmental head coordinates the activities of the department and devices new strategies to enhance the worship experience from their perspective.
The department is also responsible for collecting the offerings in church, counting the money and imputing the offering data into the church accounting system before handing over the actual cash to the accounting department.
You will see members of this department standing around at church. They are officially allowed to move about in performance of their roles.
Most of them were an usher tag and are easily recognized.
You can approach any of the ushers if you intend to join this department and they will direct you to the appropriate individual to see.
Head of Department must submit their monthly progress reports to the Senior Pastor.
